The PRE–STROBEHAWK preemption emitter system is used to operate optical traffic preemption systems such as the TOMAR STROBECOM II® or 3M OPTICOM® System. The system is furnished complete and ready to operate. The lamp, cable, and power supply are completely waterproof and may be hosed down without fear of shorting out. The power supply has a parking brake disable feature which may optionally be connected to the vehicle's brake switch to automatically switch the emitter off when the vehicle is parked to prevent traffic signal lockup at the scene of an emergency.

All modes are selected by switching positive, low current, battery voltage. The main battery power may be left connected to the supply at all times. Current draw is less than 100 microamps standby. Brake disable circuit auto resets when switch is released. |
